Mindfulness meditation open to all
Join us any week for casual meditation practice: TBD at 5pm in Seattle / Magnolia (coming Summer 2026).
If you are interested to learn meditation, join us for instruction in Zen meditation.
If you already practice meditation, join us and bring your practice as it is, in any of these styles:

Our only requirement is that each person's meditation style be seated and silent, not disturbing others. We provide meditation cushions and chairs to sit as you prefer.

Meditation Style
Meditation is a wonderful way to develop compassion, health, and insight.
If you would like meditation instruction, attend an orientation session for an introduction to Zen meditation.
Or feel free to join us with your own silent meditation practice from any tradition.
Meditation is suitable for anyone. In our practice, meditation may be done using a floor cushion or sitting in a chair, as best suits each person.
In addition to sitting meditation practice, our practices occasionally include traditional Zen ceremonies. We also offer individual, optional Zen koan practice in addition to group practice.
Tradition & Organizer
We are part of the Open Sound Zen Community in Seattle and online.
Our organizer is Chris Chapman, who received Zen teaching authority in 2023 in the Golden Wind Zen Order, a lineage of Zen Master Seung Sahn.
